Orbital Focus 1.0.3

Orbital Focus 1.0.3 arrived on July 30, 2026. It turns the flight deck into a more useful instrument panel and makes the Earth below it feel more alive. The update also adds deeper focus insights, a clearer Flight School, and better continuity between Apple devices.

Swipe through the flight instruments

The two gauges beside the mission countdown are no longer fixed. Swipe or tap either one to move between speed, altitude, and a live engine-bay view.

The engine-bay view is built around the rocket and stage you are flying. It shows the active engine layout as ignition begins, staging happens, and shutdown approaches, so the instrument stays connected to the mission instead of acting like a decorative animation.

Earth now changes with the season

Clouds now sit above the globe as their own layer, with parallax and shadows that stretch toward the edge of daylight. Orbital Focus includes 12 bundled cloud maps and selects one for the current calendar month, so the coverage changes with the season without pretending to be live weather.

The night side has more depth too. City lights cast a softer glow into the atmosphere, and distant storms briefly light the clouds below your spacecraft.

See where your focus time goes

The new Focus by Category view in Trends groups your banked minutes by payload tag. You can compare Work, Study, Code, and your own custom tags over the same day, week, month, year, or total range used by the rest of Trends.

This works with missions you already completed because Orbital Focus uses the category stored with each mission record. Nothing needs to be re-entered.

Flight School teaches the controls in flight

Flight School now covers the camera, Cupola, pause, Clean View, and sound controls. The lessons sit closer to the moment each control becomes useful, which makes the first mission easier to understand without turning it into a long setup checklist.

Continue on another Apple device

Handoff and universal links can open the matching Orbital Focus surface on another Apple device. Cross-device flight beacons also let a companion device show that a mission is in the air and follow its countdown.

The active mission still belongs to the device that launched it. Handoff moves navigation, not mission ownership, so continuing elsewhere does not duplicate, pause, or move a flight.

Localization, reliability, and interface polish

Version 1.0.3 also includes broader localization coverage and smaller reliability and interface improvements throughout the app.
